How to care for a quilt?

Caring for a handmade quilt ensures it stays beautiful and durable for years to come. Here are some tips:

1. Washing: Use a gentle cycle with cold water and a mild, non-abrasive detergent.

2. Drying: Your quilt can go in the dryer. Choose a low-heat setting and add some clean tennis balls to help fluff the quilt.

3. Regular Care: Occasionally, shake out your quilt and let it air out to keep it fresh.

By following these simple steps, you'll help preserve the craftsmanship and beauty of your handmade quilt for generations to come.

How is my order shipped?

We ship using Canada Post for the majority of orders. Canada Post is as reliable as other courier services, and for most packages it is the least expensive. 

Canada Rates:

Flat rate shipping: $5

• Shipping to remote locations and orders comprising of extremely bulky items may incur additional shipping costs. In these circumstances, we will contact you with an additional payment request for extra shipping charges.

US Rates:

Flat rate shipping: $10

• Shipping to remote locations and orders comprising of extremely bulky items may incur additional shipping costs. In these circumstances, we will contact you with an additional payment request for extra shipping charges.

International shipping

International shipping is very expensive and therefore is only available upon request. Please contact FabricFunZone@gmail.com to discuss.

Is curbside pickup available?

Yes! You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup in Barrhaven. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout. Your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 2 to 4 business days.

Please wait to receive an email with the subject 'Your order is ready for pickup.' Once you receive this confirmation, you are welcome to come and collect your order. Arriving before the confirmation email may result in your order not being ready.

Pickup is available :

Mon.-Fri.: 6pm - 9 pm
Sat-Sun: 12 pm – 4 pm

How is sales tax calculated?

Canadian Customers 

All purchases prices have tax already included.

Taxes are calculated at checkout and added to your order.

U.S. Customers
Taxes are your responsibility in accordance with your state's requirements. Please note that your order will go through customs, and you are permitted to receive up to $800 USD duty-free per day.

Always check with the most current customs regulations or consult with customs authorities, as laws and exemptions can change.

Do I need to pay tariffs?

All items available in my shop are proudly handmade in Canada. As such, they may be subject to a 25% tariff (duty). Currently, tariffs are only applicable to orders exceeding $800, with orders under this amount generally remaining duty-free. However, due to the unpredictable nature of customs regulations, I cannot guarantee this exemption.

Please be aware that any applicable tariffs will be assessed at the United States customs point of entry and will be billed directly to you.
